Why Do Uniforms Wear School Uniforms

One of the most popular questions in educational system in recent years is whether students of public schools wear uniforms or not. I come across this debate, at least twice a year either on television or on a radio. As more people are involved in these debates every year, it is still unclear where our Government is standing in this issue.

As uniforms were required in most schools in the past, we all know it was also a trending fashion in work environments for various reasons. Although we can see more freedom about dress codes in recent years, we were stricter in this regard in the past, as we just come to realize it. It was a mandatory dress code almost in every school across the World. As times have changed along with our culture, work ethics along with technology, we are now discussing whether to go back to uniform days. School uniforms mean no hassle when choosing what to wear at school, often more affordable than fashion clothing and have much less get ready time in the morning. Which could be extended amount of time and effort with wealthier families. Uniforms also work great for making students feel equal and balanced.
According to an article in procorn.org; one in five US public schools required students to wear uniforms during the 2013-2014 school year, up from one in eight in 2003-2004. According to same study Mandatory uniform policies in public schools are found more commonly in high-poverty areas. As I have stated earlier, it is a bigger problem with lower income neighborhoods.
