Why do people feel guilty about something that is not their fault when they tried to help as much as possible? There are ways you can make sure you don’t feel guilty about something as long as you look at everything from both perspectives, and how it will affect the people involved. You also need to make sure that you fulfill everything you needed to do with your choice, and that you feel confident in what you've chosen. There is no need for you to feel guilty, it’ll only make your life worse, about some decision you need to make.

Even if you are directly affecting someone's life if you feel that you have the right answer to something, that's best for the whole world you have to share it. Just like when Victor felt bad for denying his creature his only wish, to have a companion or a lover of his own so that he would no longer be alone in life, Victor’s perspective on this was that it would be terrible for the whole world. This is what Victor believed was going on when he was asked if he would make another creature. Victor was again feeling guilty, yet this time it was not for the creature, it was for the what his creature had done and may do again. Victor knew he wasn’t going to help when the creature when he said “my companion must be of the same species and have the same defects. This being you must create”(Frankenstein), it just showed to Victor, who already believed the worst in his creature, that this was going to lead to something bad. He thought that two of the evilest people together could not possibly have any good consequences, and would only have a negative effect on the world, and that would make him feel guilty about doing it.
