Communism is the ideology of the political parties. It is a system which economic and social activity are controlled by a totalitarian state that governs by a single and political party. It is a way of controlling a society in which the government owns all the things and there are no private own property at all. People are very afraid that it will happen for their society, so Communism is still something that citizen need to worry about. Why do people fear of communism ?
These days, people are aware of politic even they did not involve in it. They believe that politic will always affects them even they did not care or participate. As we can see, there are many countries that are using the communism system such as China, North Korean, Vietnam, Laos and Cuba ( Porzucki, 2013 ). Cambodia was also apart of th communism in the past. In 19975, Cambodia people were living under the communism system ( Rothman, 2015 ). There is no personal freedom for citizen. People have no right to do anything as they want. They are forced to join and work hard whether they like it or dislike it. They cannot even raise their voice or express any idea to the public. Moreover, lands and other properties that people have are related and belong to the government only.
Second, it is about the social discrimination. Normally, we have three class of people such as the upper, the middle and the lower. Through the communist system, these classes are promoted even stronger. Social discrimination seems to be embedded in the system, so it can be overwhelming and untrustworthy and stop people from reaching their full portentail, and more importantly, tagging them to change their identify(Bhugra, 2016).
