Katniss life story Katniss is a brave young woman that is a fighter and a survivor and a provider. She has the ability to shoot arrows from afar and she is able hit her target. Katniss is the epitome of brave and altruistic she volunteer her own life to save Prim. Her family have a history of losing a loved one. There are reasons why Katniss will win the Hungers Games. The first reason, why Katniss will win the Hunger Games is that she is a valiant and an altruistic individual. She sacrifices her own life to save Prim from her impending demise from the Hunger Games. She is the epitome of brave and altruistic. Katniss yelled, "I volunteer as tribute," (p.22)! Katniss saved Prim from the Hunger Games by volunteering herself to the death games. Also, people were applauding her bravery of volunteering to death games. Bravery and altruistic can be a good asset. Bravery can make Katniss feel confident to face many trials in the Hunger Games. Altruistic can help her win allies because she is unselfish to risk her own life to help another tribute named Rue. The second …show more content…

She lost her father from an explosion. Katniss had to take the role of the women of the house and provide food for Prim and her mother. Katniss said, "I was terrified. I suppose now that my mother was locked in some dark world of sadness, but at the time, all I knew was that I had lost not only a father, but a mother well. At eleven years old, with Prim just seven, I took over as head of the family. There was no choice. I bought our food at the market and cooked it as best I could and tried to keep Prim and myself looking presentable" (p. 27). Losing a father can change things for a family and, Katniss had to be a provider for her family. Also, she had to make money to buy food for Prim and her mother to eat. She is a provider and a reliable person to count in the Hunger Games. She would survive because of her family that she needs to go home
