Over time, scientists have been able to perform studies and gather the information as to what exactly causes global warming. Scientists have collectively agreed that humans are the main cause of global warming is human produced. Humans burn coal, oil, and other gases to create energy. In doing so, this creates excess carbons that warm the atmosphere that block the heat from escaping the Earth (Climate Change Causes: A Blanket around the Earth). This process is known as the greenhouse effect. Other gasses that contribute to the greenhouse effect include water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and chlorofluorocarbons (Climate Change Causes: A Blanket around the Earth). Another human activity that contributes to global warming is
First of all, there are more potent gases being emitted into the atmosphere such as the well known greenhouse gas, methane. Methane is mostly associated with cows. Yes, I said it, cows. When cows fart, they release the greenhouse gas methane. Also, methane heats up the atmosphere more than carbon dioxide. So the point here is that global warming isn't mainly caused by humans.
Most climate scientists agree that the main cause of global climate change is the human expansion of the greenhouse effect. This is the global warming that results when the atmosphere traps heat radiating from Earth toward space (climate.nasa.gov). The main gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect include water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and chlorofluorocarbons (climate.nasa.gov). Human activities are changing the natural greenhouse effect. The burning of fossil fuels like coal and oil has increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (climate.nasa.gov). Carbon dioxide levels have increased from 280 parts per million to 379 parts per million in the last 150 years due to human act...
Firstly, global warming is said to be caused by the high levels of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere by humans. Smoke produced by factories, vehicular exhaust, and the burning of fossil fuels such as coal in power plants are the primary sources of carbon dioxide. The theory is that carbon dioxide being released into the Earth's atmosphere is steadily building up because it cannot escape into space. The theory as to why the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere actually causes the Earth's average temperature to rise is outlined as follows:
Global warming and global climate change is the study of future increases of temperature across the globe. Studying climate change refers to how the over- all climate will change such as the dry places getting dryer and the wet places getting wetter. Global climate is dependent on “the greenhouse effect a natural process that helps regulate temperature” (Easterling and Karl). In the past few centuries humans have had a monumental effect on increasing of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Climate change is result of the increase amount of the greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere such as methane, carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and ozone. “Global temperature has rose approximately 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit over
In theory some parts of the world might benefit, from a human point of view, due to global warming. However, at current rates of warming, local ecosystems will collapse and any objective measure of global benefits versus suffering would show much more suffering than benefits gained.
There are both natural and human-generated causes for global warming. Natural causes are much less than human causes. Natural causes have changed the climate by changes in sunlight and volcanic activity has shown an increase in gases in the atmosphere. Humans cause global warming by burning fossil fuels. This is an everyday activity and it is harming the Earth’s atmosphere. Like I explained earlier, carbon dioxide in the Earth has increased dramatically and this is cause by burning fossil fuels which results in the Greenhouse Effect. Almost everything in the world consists of fossil fuels in some type of way. We burn fossil fuels when driving our car, powering machinery, using electricity, flying planes, etc. (Planet Save) I thought that the following chart was very interesting because it explains that the human causes of global warming are extremely higher than natural effects.
Global warming means the rise in the mean global temperature to a level which affects the life-forms on the earth surface. The factors responsible for this warming may be both natural and human induced. For the past centuries human reaction with an environment for industrialization was bad for the betterment of their livelihood pollution level increased which is caused largely by human activities. Therefore significant evidences of global warming due to green house gas, increased in global temperature, increase in sea level, and retreat of Himalayan glaciers are based on human induced.
There are two major reasons of global warming: human factors and natural factors. They can be summarized as follows.
Humans have caused global warming by doing many things but the main three are burning of fossil fuels and green house gas emission, deforestation, and excessive use of chemical fertilizers. Global warming is like a bad dream going worse.
In talking about global warming, we need to learn what causes the greenhouse effect. Rays from the sun are taken up and absorbed by water vapor that is natural in the atmosphere. The United States emits the largest man made greenhouse gases in the world. As Americans we must realize the responsibility to reduce the emissions. (Gore, Albert) Water Vapor is eighty percent of greenhouse warming. The last twenty percent results from other gases that are in very little amounts. A huge absorber of the sun’s heat rays is carbon dioxide. Us as humans release a lot of carbon dioxide. When fossil fuels are burned, they release big amounts of carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is on the increase in our atmosphere due to car emissions. Approximately eighty percent of CO2 increases because of man’s use of fossil fuels. When there is more carbon dioxide in our atmosphere the more sun rays are absorbed. In result to this happening this will cause the earth and the earths atmosphere to warm. When the earth is warming, water temperatures will start to get warmer. Oceans and lakes will get warmer in result f...
For the past 100 years scientists have been warning people of climate change. The general opinion has flip-flopped about three times, from cooling to warming to cooling, and back to warming again. The fact is that earth's climate is constantly changing. It has periods of cooling and periods of warming. However, studies have shown that short-term temperature change cannot be used as a gauge for future predictions. The fact that the earth has experienced warming throughout the last century is not proof that the industrialization of humans was the cause. If we want to even try to predict what the climate will do in the future, we must look back over a longer time interval. The recent global warming is not a result of human activity, but of natural causes.
Human beings have increased the Human beings have increased the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere by about thirty percent, concentration in the atmosphere by about thirty percent, CO2 spread in atmosphere from human breath, industries , smoke of automobiles and fossil fuel etc… when we burn fossil fuel the co2 gases escaped in to air and outer layer of earth. Outer layer of is the layer that reflect the ultraviolet rays of sun. So the co2 and burning gases causes the increase of global warming
Nearly all climate scientists can agree, that the most common cause of the current global warming trend, is to be blamed on the burning of fossil fuels, which changes the natural greenhouse of our earth. The usual process in which heat is absorbed by the earth, is when sunlight passes through its atmosphere
Global warming is the gradual rise in temperature and oceans due to recent human activity. This is created by the production of too much carbon dioxide that is released into the earth’s atmosphere. The carbon dioxide, also known as a greenhouse gas, remains in the air trapping heat and gradually warming the planet. Other greenhouse gases such as: methane, nitrous oxide, and water vapor also contribute to this slow warming. According to Live Science, The state of these gases being trapped is called the greenhouse effect, which is one of the leading causes of global warming (Lallanillia). All the gases are created differently and have different effects on the earth. As for some greenhouse gases can be in the atmosphere for a short amount of time, other gases can remain in the atmosphere for thousands of
Scientists, economists, and policy makers all agree the world is facing a threat from climate warming. Climate warming is caused by excess greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, which are heat trapping gases. Human use of fossil fuels is a significant source of these gases. When we drive our cars, heat our homes with oil or natural gas, or use electricity from coal-fired power plants, we contribute to global warming. Including any loss of trees or forests also contributes, considering trees convert carbon dioxide to oxygen.
