When you hear the name Muhammad you know instantly that this person is praised highly. This name sparks up leadership. Muhammad had become prophet of Islam in 610 AD; this was after the birth of Christ. The life of Muhammad before he had become a prophet of Islam. Many questions have been asked, “Why did Muhammad become a prophet of Islam? The answer is that an Angel who is considered as Gabriel had taught him the verses. Each year Muhammad would retreat to a cave near Mecca. He would reflect to himself and take food for days. His motive was to pray and look for guidance. These are the following things he believed was a part of the retreat. Before Muhammad became a prophet, he was born into a prominent family of Mecca and he was a merchant. When he first met Angel Gabriel in the cave he was only 40 years of age. Muhammad had spreader a many messages and teachings these included the belief that there is only one god, which is the same for Islam’s, Catholics and Jews. His teachings were very common to Moses, Jesus and Abraham. His morals that were valued were kindness, family and charity to the poor. Although Muhammad’s message was through people didn’t like it. This led to them insulting him to stop his teachings. Since the teaching it had a big threat on the Meccan’s way of life not only morally and even economically. His followers had a tough time for violence. There was a lot of fear people had gained from his message. People had begun thinking about losing the power and wealth, vowing them to stop.
