College is Worth it The money that students invest in going to college is worth it. The If the student is willing to do what it takes and try their best, they will get much more out of it than just a good paying job. The reasons why college is so worth it is because in college people can make connections and friendships with other people that could end up being very helpful down the road. College teaches students a lot of things that will be very important down the road, and expands their knowledge outside of whatever their career would be if they didn’t go to college. It’s like incubation for the real world. College is the closest thing that a person can get to the real world without it being the real world. It also gives a student four years to find out what they want to be. In college there are a ton of different majors to choose from. It’s easier to find new things that one might like. Yeah people may always say that spending all that money was a big waste and how just getting a job right after highschool and making money for those four years is much more worth it. It’s really much more worth it to attend a college, because in college a student is able to seek out new things. Things that could end up becoming their careers. Thing that they could become very passionate about. My brother Alex is a perfect example of this. He had no idea what he wanted to do after high school. He took a class and found out about nursing. He instantly made that his major, and just barely got accepted into nursing school. Without college he wouldn’t have ever had the opportunity to find what he really wanted to do. These days just having a high school diploma isn’t enough. The unemployment rate for those with a high school degree or less is three times higher compared to those who did attend college. Nobody wants to be unemployed, because unemployment means no money. So not only is it good for adjusting to the real world, it gives us time to seek out things we want to do, and it means more money in the long
