On November 30, 1962 Bo Jackson, the superstar, was born. From the day he stepped onto the field, to the last, he was known as one of the most fastest and crazy athletes there would be. Bo Jackson’s name is known everywhere because of how crazy of an athlete, how noble, and how much of a warrior the man is. If people thought they were great at every skill, they knew Bo was better. Bo Jackson came from a huge family. His mother raised ten kids all by herself, and Bo was known for his single mother. This came with a lot of difficulties along the way. He had some trouble in school when it came to fitting in. Every kid he went to school with had a traditional family, the classic two parents and two children. Bo did not have that family. Whenever someone talks about Jackson's ability they say, “It’s like Bo was touched by God”(ESPN). This made it seem like he could do anything, and he could. He could hunt, play baseball, football, and run faster than anyone. This made him seem supernatural. Nike asked Bo Jackson to be their company’s next campaign. The campaign launched that “Bo Knows..” about any skill there is out there. Which seems extremely crazy, but they do consider him inhumane. When Jackson picked up the sport of baseball at the pro level, people saw Bo as a major league player on a little league field, he was that good. In a past baseball game, Bo also caught a ball and referred him to Superman, as he flew to catch it. While Bo was in the middle of his football season, he was in the middle of a play. A play that seemed so normal and there was no way for him to get hurt. It had seem that Bo was fine when the opposing team had tackled Jackson, but everyone was incorrect. After Bo was tackled, he was in absolute pain. As he rolled over, he felt his hip pop out of place, and when he rolled back over it popped into place. At that moment, Bo knew his career was at jeopardy. He went to stand up and turned to his wife in the stands, and he knew she was freaking out, gave her a thumbs up telling her that he was fine. But when it came to him, he knew he was not okay. After being suspended he was told he needed a hip replacement. On March 18, 1991 Bo Jackson left the royals due to his injury. Now here is where the warrior part comes into play. The morning of, after his hip replacement, he woke up from surgery, turned to his coach and said, “My pain is gone, I’m going to spring training”(ESPN). He went to rehab every single day and trained to get back into shape. Bo told ESPN, that it was he was in the greatest shape of his life.
