Nerf Started in 1969 by the creator of Reyn Guyer. Reyn created the Nerf brand in Minnesota. He started this brand for safety. At first he started the brand for volleyball. Later in the 1990’s the nerf brand started the nerf gun and had a special catchphrase “It’s Nerf Or Nothing”. The creator made the nerf gun because dart guns were really popular. Nerf guns were really popular because they were neon colors and sometimes had soft texture.
Lonnie G. Johnson Lonnie Johnson was born on October 6, 1949 in Mobile, Alabama. He was an american inventor and engineer who holds more than 80 patents. Johnson is best known for making the super soaker. Johnson's father was a World War II veteran and his mother worked as a nurse's aide.
Throughout time, many people feel as if they have lost their connection to their cultural from outside influences and numerous disruptions. Disruptions to one’s cultural can be seen in the Picture book The Rabbits by john Marsden and Shaun tan which is an an allegory of the invasion of Australia. Another example is the film avatar by James Cameron. The creators of these works are expressing the effect of man on nature and disruption it brings upon the cultural of the indigenous people who are the traditional owners of the land.
The curveball was invented over 100 years ago by William Arthur Cummings (Fleitz, D). His older brother and teammates called him Candy Cummings (Fleitz, D). Cummings started to develop the curveball in 1861 and 1862 without much progress. After many years Cummings finally invented the curveball in 1867 (Fleitz, D). This invention made him one of the most dominant pitchers of the time. Cummings quit baseball at the age of twenty-eight (Fleitz, D). Other players started to develope their own curveball by the 1874 season (Fleitz, D). Batters started to learn to hit the curveball by the 1877 season (Fleitz, D).
Waythorn, the main male figure, in Edith Warton’s, “The Other Two,” takes a journey of psychological development. At the beginning of the story, we find he has returned home early from his honeymoon because, his new wife’s daughter has taken ill. He describes himself as being “surprised at his thrill of boyish agitation,” (220) as he is waiting for his wife to join him for dinner. This is part of his initial conflict, his emotions are changing, highs and lows, something which at age thirty-five, “he fancied himself already in the temperate zone” (220).
In 1928, an accountant, Walter Diemer, invented an improved version of bubble gum. The only food coloring he had on hand was pink, so for many years, pink was the common color of bubble gums. Diemer arranged to market the bubble gum in Philadelphia candy stores and the product became wildly popular with children. Fleer Company purchased the recipe, and named the product Dubble Bubble.
Remington quickly grew and was seen as a leading firearm which then expanded its firearm goods by creating the first hammerless auto-loading shotgun, as well as many their own repeating firearms. As the array of firearms created by Remington grew, more interest was put into the company, and therefore in 1865 it was formed into a stock company.
It is said that in 1949, Sobek and a partner began playing with a paddle and combined the rules of handball and squash to play what they called “paddle racquets.” He then decided to change from a paddle to a racquet itself using a tennis racquet as a model. He made 25 to sell to his friends to start the sport. There was one problem though; there were faults in the ball. Sobek then found a Spalding ball made for children that work well. He bought a lot of them and sold him to his friends in 1950 to keep his sport from dwindling out. Sobek eventually started his own company to make his own ball to his exact specifications for the game.
This rich history all started in between the years of 1867 to 1873. It was introduced by a professor at Kaisei Gakka, a college boarding school. His name was Horace Wilson. Wilson was the one that brought the game to Japan, but there were others that helped him teach the Japanese the ways of the game. Him and another professor named Albert Bates would help teach and train those who were interested in playing
90% of girls ages three through ten owned at least one Barbie doll. Ruth Handler’s idea for children to live there adult fantasies through a toy, came to life in a tall beautiful blonde doll. Barbra Millicent Roberts, or Barbie for short was named after Handlers daughter. Barbie was originally molded after the European Lilli doll that was made to be a gag gift, but Handler transformed this idea into so much more. The first Barbie doll was created in 1959, changing the toy making industry forever. This simple idea turned into a massive success. The sponsor of the phenomenon was Mattel Inc. founded by Ruth Handler and her Husband. Ruth Handler’s original idea of Barbie was revolutionary due to the many impacts on society this small doll created.

Five years ago in Wall Maria, two new breeds of Titans appeared, the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan. One hundred years of peace and prosperity, ruined by the Colossal and the Armored Titan.
The modification of Nerf guns satisfies the scientific urge to take apart, examine, and rebuild. Although most members of the nerfing community follow the modifications and innovations of a small percentage of this group, every person will go about modifying in a slightly different way. Even following mod instructions is a mental exercise.
Gun control laws are getting stricter and stricter as time goes on. The first gun control law was “passed by Congress in 1927 when it outlawed the mailing of firearms" (Thomas16). This law meant that all concealable firearms could not be shipped through the mail. The reason why was guns were able to be bought and traded through the post office. suddenly there was a consontration on gun control this was due to the fact that "after the assassination attempt on FDR’s life the major concern of gun control was brought up" (Thomas 15). Because many American’s didn’t want criminals to be allowed to purchase guns, gun laws got stricter. This led to the firearms act of 1934. "The firearms act of 1934 imposed a $200 tax on full autos and sawed-off shotguns. These laws also made people go through FBI background checks to obtain these weapons" (Thomas 16). Full autos are firearms that will continue to fire as long as the trigger is held down. Sawed-off shot guns are shot guns that have extremely short barrels allowing them to be concealed.
I am for the student councils ideas to have an election for "Hero of the month." It will make kids work harder, encourage people to get involved and would recognize the kids who don’t get noticed.
The organization is very powerful and is in the limelight mostly during political parties. The group was first only for those who wanted to improve their skill set with rifles but dues to the 1938 gun law which prevented the use of certain kinds guns the NRA saw this a threat to their right to bear arms and they fought very hard through congress to get certain state and cities bill dropped and due to no oppression or guns law supporter organization Congress throughout history have lean heavily or was heavily influence by the NRA and or still influence today when it comes to gun control laws. Gun control throughout history shows that it does not reduce the crime rate nor does it help social or economic changes in America. One thing that Gun control does is a limit citizen from being able to obtain a gun legally. In his book The Future of the Gun, Frank Minter states “According to the Children’s Defense Fund, gun deaths among white children and teens decreased by 44 percent from 1979 to 2009, while deaths among black children and teens rose by 30 percent (pg.80). This statistic points out that even with gun control over the years have increase there is still a high crime and death rate related to guns among certain American
Many children play with toy guns in United States. When I was a kid toy guns were not aloud in our household. I believe parents should not allow their children to play with fake guns. Toy guns can increase aggressive behaviors, they change children's personalities, and kids will see guns as a cool object to have.
