Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy about two star crossed lovers whose love cannot apart them from their two feuding families.In this essay I will state who are responsible for their deaths, the main theme of the story is hatred and fate.I agree that Romeo and Juliet actions are responsible for their own deaths because they were the ones who chose to commit suicide. They had a choice to commit suicide or not.. Yes they wouldn't have to go through all this trouble if the Capulet and the Montague didn't have a feud but if the two didn't have a feud, they probably wouldn't have met. Juliet should have waited for Romeo to come get her instead of pretending to kill herself. Romeo also should have waited a while longer because right when he killed himself, she woke up. I believe that Romeo and Juliet believed that they were so destined to be together to the point where they couldn't see logically. They were so hung up on each other to the point where they believed that they were meant to be together even though they met a couple days ago. In the story, Romeo says, "O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright! It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night As a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear --Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear!" This shows how much he thinks he knows her after knowing her for a couple
