In Lewis Carroll’s novel, Alice in Wonderland, there were many situations where she felt like she was different from everyone else. For example when Alice was with the Mad Hatter, when Alice was with the Caterpillar and the Pigeon, and when Alice was with the Queen of Hearts. Alice always felt that she was different in Wonderland, but mostly when she was with the Mad Hatter.
To start Alice always felt that she was different, but realized it when she met the Mad Hatter. For instance, when he told her that there was no room at the table she sat anyway, she felt that she was very unwanted. Alice also feels that she is very different when the Mad Hatter refers to time as a person and not as a thing. When Alice was with the Mad Hatter she questioned his actions, but mostly when he stuffed a door mouse into a teapot. When the Mad Hatter had stuffed the mouse into the teapot is when Alice really started to questioning how people were acting in Wonderland. Therefore when Alice is with the Mad Hatter she feels like she is different from everyone else, along with when she is with the caterpillar and the pigeon.
Additionally, Alice continues to feel different when she meets the caterpillar and the pigeon. For example when she is with the caterpillar he asks her to recite a poem back to him. The caterpillar didn’t know what the poem exactly stated, but he knew that Alice had known what the poem said. When she was reciting the poem he told her that she has got the poem all wrong. The caterpillar told her this so she could realize that she had changed and she wasn’t the same person that she thought that she was. The caterpillar then asks her “who are you?” When the caterpillar asks Alice this she has troubles explaining who she is. The cater...

In the end there are many situations where Alice feels that she is different from everyone else around her. Alice realized that she was always different but more so when she was with these three characters who are the Mad Hatter, the caterpillar and the pigeon, and lastly being the Queen of Hearts. When she met the Mad Hatter is more so when she started to realize that she was different from everyone else in Wonderland. Throughout the book Alice just kept finding out how different she really was. Then she met the caterpillar and the pigeon who both made her question who and what she is. Then lastly she met the Queen of Hearts and really found out how different she was from everyone that was surrounding her in Wonderland. To conclude these were just a few examples where Alice felt like she was different from everyone else.
