Poverty is the reflection of poor education over population, change in the environment, and disastrous diseases. Poor citizens do not have access to the best health care and other related services. The lack of healthcare can lead to hungry, diseases and poor nutrition. Due to the lack of health services, 21,000 children die (Shah, 2014). Another cause of poverty is economic struggles. Some of America’s citizens does not have the ability to keep enough money to afford the basic essentials of life. These people cannot afford anything as simple as a well secured and constructed habitat. They barely make it by without a shortage of food, clothes, and other numerous essentials. One neighborhood that I have seen focused on in the recent media is Whitehaven. I have also witnessed Whitehaven’s neighborhood with my one two, young eyes through my mom’s cleaning business. In certain parts of Whitehaven, there are numerous apartments based off of income known to most as “section eight”. Whitehaven is also very popular when it comes to crime. We can stop crimes by inventing such security systems that is much safer than the average pistol or baseball bat and is a reasonable price. It should be fairly easy to negotiate with. I like the idea of having gates or fences surrounding a home to make sure we rid of criminals and those who are considered unfamiliar, but I want those who can to make sure that these gates and fences are not able to be climbed over. People who frequently do wrong such as criminal will do everything under the sun to accomplish making someone else’s life miserable. If there is a home built by Habitat for Humanity, the home will be repaired if needed to keep the residents from leaving these nice homes. To date, more than 80 repairs made. Therefore, positive role models are often nonexistent. These type neighborhoods also lead to poor parenting skills. I wish all people who do wrong was taught the fact that all actions require a consequence. Learning this fact is very important and it is just like students learning cause and effect. The cause is citizens of our community making decisions that will be many will regret. The word regret brings us to our effect, which is the community being harmed in some type of way. In some cases, people can’t even have a positive influence to teach them that they are harming their peers. These type of situations often occur from single parenting.
