By doing that they use tools that are democratic and non-violent and they are respectful of others opinions. Active citizenship can also take place in the classrooms at school, it can take place anywhere throughout the community. An active citizen is someone who cares about their community and they develop the skills to understand their obligations of that community. I go to football and basketball games and I also go to track meets to watch and see how good we do. I helped out on the basketball team one time by being a manager and helping out the team by getting them what they needed. I help out my friends whenever they need help or need somebody to talk to when they are upset, I try to be there for them. I try to help out in any way that I can with the community. I like to help with doing stuff whether it’s cleaning, working, or doing whatever they may ask me to do to help with the community. One of them is to learn about the issues because you want to know what is going on and what is good or bad in your city. The second one is to figure out what is not working and try to come up with some solutions. The third one is to take action but you would have to be legal age if you wanted to meet up with people that would help you take that action.
The fourth step is to make sure you talk to others to get as many people as you can to take their own action. The fifth step is to make an informed vote. Its good to vote for local offices and it could really mean the difference between whether your town improves or worsens. The sixth step is the final step which means to vote. It is your responsibility and your right to do. When you vote you have to be eighteen to do so.
