Amusement parks and cartoons are two things that almost everyone likes. Walt Disney had a certain love for these things unlike anyone else. Walt spent his entire life making peoples dreams come true. Walt Disney left a legacy by changing how people thought about cartoons, movies, amusement parks, and businesses. In this case, a legacy is an impact someone has left on the world that will be talked about forever. Walt Disney will always be remembered for the innovative things he created including cartoons/movies that stand out and themed amusement parks.

In the 1920s cartoons were nothing but simple sketches put together with narrative (Cite). Walt Disney decided he was going to change all of that. Walt believed that cartoons had more potential than just simple sketches (Cite). He believed cartoons were a form of art and deserved to live up to their potential (Cite). Walt wanted to make recognizable characters with a developed plot (Cite). His first major breakthrough was Steamboat Willie (Cite). Walt Disney was born in 1890 to a woman named Seora Isabelle Zamora. His father, Elias, met Isabelle in California that same year and the two carried on an affair that ended with the birth of Walt. Later, Elias brought the two back to Chicago, Illinois where Isabelle became a housekeeper for the Disney family. Walt was assimilated into the Disney household and treated as the biological son of Elias and Flora Disney.
