It is a known that physical activity is important to everyone’s well-being, it helps a lot in the development of child’s physical, emotional and cognitive development (Dakto, 2015). According to Mendez Fundamental intermediate schools, the beneficial outcomes of physical education have to be achieved through participation of the appropriate forms of physical activity, these benefits are; reduced risk of heart diseases, improved physical fitness, strong bones, weight regulation, health promotion, improve judgement, self-discipline, self-development, stress reduction, improve self-confidence and self-esteem and reduced risk of depression. Students get the chance to make their own choices about how they will engage in learning tasks. The teacher is just there to facilitate. When students initiate their learning, they get to use their thinking and creative movement exploration skills. The teacher only assists students where they need assistance (Metzler, 2011). According to study.com (2016), indirect teaching is a method in which the instructor assumes a more passive role and guides the student interactions. Although this method is beneficial to the learner, it also has its disadvantages which include too little focus on the process, students who are shy may be left out, and students may not handle responsibility well. The advantages of indirect teaching include cooperation, improvement, and social skills, as well as the fact that students learn valuable teaching skills (Hamilton, 2016).
6) PHYSICAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES

According to Du Toit and van der Merwe (2014:378), teachers and parents often talk about product outcome when they discuss fitness with children. Beside educational gymnastics and dance, other types of fun movements activities recommended in the CAPS include outdoor group activities. Teachhub.com (2017) suggest that activities should start with something physical like a warm-up. It can be a quick stretch, walking around the room or even a few jumping jacks. This can be a great way to start the activities and to pump some energy into tired learners (Anon., 2017).
