As of this moment, everyone my age is either not in college with or without a job, or they are in college trying to work their way up the success bar. Now I do not judge anyone for what kind of life style they want to choose, but I am definitely one of those people that pretty much has their whole life planned out. From what college I go to and what I major in, to what dream job I will one day have ten, maybe even five to six years from now. Success is my middle name and I plan to own it. In present day, I am at a four-year university and I am majoring in Nursing. Ever since I was twelve I knew I wanted to be in the Air Force for something but I never knew what that something was. I always downed myself saying I wasn’t good at anything so I never knew what job I wanted. I always figured I would just go into computers like my step father but that all changed my senior year of high school. For one of my classes I got to take on a job on base to see what it like to work there. I picked the hospital because I was curious how things worked over there and I was never interested in it but wanted to know more. I spent the whole year volunteering there like I was one of the doctor’s technicians; they did not just put me in one spot neither. Throughout my senior year I had worked in family health, pediatrics, neurology, the E.R., immunizations, and OB/GYN. Out of all of the places they put me to watch, learn and work I had fallen in love with gynecology. It is just something about helping pregnant women see their babies and helping women get on birth control I like. I found it fascinating to check women’s cervixes for cancer and give women procedures if they had a cyst on their ovary. It was amazing to help women in need and I did not even know that I could fall in love with something in the medical field. This job is also fun because it was a mystery of who would walk in next with their issue and to find out what it was, was so amazing. One time a woman walked in to see the doctor, I was spectating at this point, she said that her breast where bothering her and that they were kind of itchy, then she showed us. I thought to myself, oh that yeast, she has a yeast infection on her boobs and she needs to get it treated because its passing from her baby and back to her because she is breastfeeding.
