Antisocial/Sociapathic • Definition: mental condition in which a person lacks any regard for right and wrong, disregards people’s feelings, show no guilt for their actions, negligent when it comes to fulfilling responsibilities. People with this disorder tend to have alcohol and drug problems and turn into criminals • Causes: genes and certain changes in the brain can cause this, no known cause. Risk factors include: childhood conduct disability, childhood abuse or neglect, unstable family life • Signs and symptoms: manipulating people’s emotions, disregard to one’s and other’s safety, lying, stealing, fighting, substance abuse problems, and consistently breaking the law • Treatment: psychotherapy involving anger/violence management, treatment
