So, the final part of the book was crazy as all heck. The Commander ends up taking OfFred to a nightclub where the women are dressed in old lingerie and costumes. While at this club Offred ends up seeing her old friend Moira. Moira of course is still the same old troublemaker who doesn't give a crap. Then, we find out that Offred has been sneaking out of the house to have sex with Nick so that she can become pregnant; but the Commander will think itś his. Following that we witness people being murdered and we are left with a major cliffhanger...what happened to Offred? We may never know. Overall, I completely loved this book! Also, there were many plot holes such as like when did the affair between Offred and Nick start? All that we know is that Serena Joy mentions that Offred should do it since Serena wants a baby so badly. Then, we also don't know why the Commander is playing all of these games. This is just a very good book but the only downfall is that it has so many holes in it. It's like the author was only trying to make drama happen to excite readers. There was no stopping and explaining it was just mention something then a bunch of drama that doesn't have anything to do with what the author just mentioned and then thirty pages later she finally talks about what she had mentioned a bunch of pages earlier. This book just seemed very rushed. The readers understand that it is in the point of view has the main character but we still do not get that much background. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and believe it to be one of the best books I have ever read. It was extremely well written and challenging for me to understand at times. It conveys that dark side of human ambition very well, and it has given me much to think about.
My overall opinion of this book is good I really liked it and recommend it to anyone. It is a good book to read and it keep you interested throughout the whole book.

I think my favorite thing about this novel was the realistic ending. Some books try to just give you a fairy tale but this book had an ending that mad you think in the end if I was in the same position would I do the same thing. There are two possible events that can occur with Offred's arrest and readers have the ability to open the book to new possibilities. If Offred is arrested, she will likely be tried for treason and killed. However, if she escapes into freedom, she will have a new lifestyle away from Gilead. Throughout the majority of the novel, Offred recounts on her mother’s character, whom she thinks is dead. She was a single mother and a proud feminist. In the first quarter, Offred recounts on a flashback of her mother burning porn magazines, claiming that they are degrading to women. However, towards the end of the novel, Offred learns that she is in fact alive, yet is living in the Colonies. Moira had seen her in a video about women living the Colonies, which is completely contrasted from the beginning, when Offred viewed her mother in a documentary protesting. This shows how Gilead has significantly changed her as a person. Living in the Colonies is just as bad as death because although she is alive she is required to do menial and even dangerous labour like cleaning radioactive waste. Earlier in the book, during Offred’s flashbacks, her mother was always a strong female character. She was always speaking and acting on behalf of women’s rights, yet now she has not fulfilled these expectations. She has been subjugated and indifferent like the rest of the women, not at all optimistic and energetic like she was in her previous life. Prior to meeting Nick, Offred abhorred her life as a handmaid. She was depressed and she even mentions thoughts of killing herself. Evaluation: I thought the book was very exciting and suspenseful like her other books. The book had very good detail and an interesting plot. I liked the twist when Juan and the girl’s father came upon Glenn walking down the road. I also liked how the author described the action in great detail. It made me feel like I was right there seeing it all happen firsthand. I don’t think that the author could’ve made this book any better than she did already.

...s were so long. I was just about sick of cod after I was only half way through the chapter. I feel like Greenberg could have done a better job of separating the book and make it more readable. While I really enjoyed Greenberg’s opening personal story, I did not see its purpose by the end of the book since he did not tell any more in-depth personal stories. For me personally, I did not really enjoy this book. I would not read it again.
She gives her the password of Gilead’s. She hasn’t used it for days. Also, Serena wants her to visit Nick because she know that the Commander, Fred is infertile. It doesn’t means that Serena is on her side, she’s doing this for herself. After the first night, Nick and Offred meet in his room, Offred continues sneak in his room every night. She stops visiting at the Commander’s place. Ofglen try to help again and give her the key to check the Commander’s office to see what they’re hiding. Offred silently declines her, she feel satisfied with Nick. (Atwood 270) This shows that she’s doing what she likes now. She refuses to break in Commander’s office. She was running out of the time and she decided to decline the opportunity of escaping the Gilead with Ofglen. That’s the symbol of non heroine where she only think about herself, not others.
Offred can not escape the fact that, in spite of the treatment from Serena Joy and the commander, that they both will have, if not already, an impact on her life. Not to mention Nick also. Nick gave her the comfort and the security that she wanted, and in the end nothing done to her by the commander or his wife mattered to her.
