Recommended: Importance of community service

It brings me great pleasure in helping others, no matter the situation. However, I enjoy volunteering by feeding others the greatest. In other words, I like to collect, package, and prepare food for those who need nourishment the most. It is great to know that someone will be receiving a fulfilling meal. For example, I have prepared and served dinner to homeless men and women, and Thanksgiving dinner to less fortunate children and their families. Growing up in a low-income family of seven, I completely understand why there is a need for food pantries and soup kitchens.
