God is omnipotent, He is almighty, He is loving, and He is incomprehensible. In Seven days, out of nothing, God created the earth and the heavens. He created the sun and moon, the oceans and rivers, the fish and the birds, and only created one thing in his likeness. That one thing God created in his image is known as humankind. God is responsible for man’s wellbeing, and wants him to have a companion, therefore he created a woman from his rib. Although everything was made to be good, soon came the bad. When Adam and Eve committed the first sin by eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, a new side of God emerged. And I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land of Canaan, for a perpetual holding; and I will be their God” (Genesis 17:7-8). The sign of God’s covenant was that all males of the household will be circumcised. Every generation of males descended from Abraham will be circumcised when he turns eight days old. The males that go uncircumcised will be cut off from his people because he has broken the covenant with God.
