Imagine your parents upset with you because of your Math grade went down from a B+ to a C-. You study your best even though you know you rather be doing playful things. Your parents are always at work from 6 in the morning to 5 or 6 P.M. You have no older siblings to help you out and your grandmother (who babysits) doesn’t understand the “new” concepts. Then what you do? The tutor center is around the block. This can help you and many children with new relationships and friends and your brain will be ready for even more advanced academics in class. Who wouldn’t want that? A tutoring center would benefit the community of Berlin because this will assist children’s academic excellence. We can have the high schoolers be the tutors. This will also help the high schoolers for academics. A study in 2012 shows that working with kids help with smarts also and caretaking likewise is always something great to be apart of. We can all always become smarter even though we sometimes don’t think so, deep inside we all know we can always become smarter. The children would get better grades and the teachers would be able to move on quicker for each unit. The high schoolers are big role models for the younger kids in Berlin. The high schoolers can create relationships with children in the community. This can feel like having a younger sibling to take care of. For the younger children it feels like you have an older sibling, that wants to take care of you under any circumstances. It feels like more than just helping my grades, it feels like you can kill two birds with one stone. Better grades and more, better, role modeling friends. The younger children can always help the high schoolers
Also giving them the courage to take on opportunities that they are not confident in.
High school or more generally education plays a vital role in society here in the United States. It provides a necessary transition from childhood to adulthood through education and conditioning. Others would argue it serves as a competing group for resources or a center for learning and practicing the implied meanings in society.

Being the only child still at home means I am at home with only my mom and dad who drive me crazy by bombarding me with questions every thirty minutes like “hey have you started your homework, hey have you finished it yet, you need to get back on your homework”. Not only does my parents micromanage me about my homework, they want to know where I am at all times, I no longer have the freedom to come and go as I please. My experiences with tutoring others has taught me that it satisfies me to help others understand and learn. As you teach others you learn about the different ways you handle situations and solve issues as well. I’ve always been the person that my classmates come up to for help, but it wasn’t till grade 10 until I officially started tutoring math, mainly Pre-Calculus 12. In grade 11, I continued tutoring, but this time I focused on a single individual, and that brought up challenges of creating a suitable relationship, that becomes the foundation for effective learning. Interactions with children is very important in a program, so you can build that connection between the child and the staff. Having the ages separated can really help the program. This can also help the staff plan activities for the program.

In contrast, if children do their homework in school, there are fewer people and objects that distract their attention. Teachers and other hardworking students offer encouragement. At school, children have access to tutors and teacher’s aids. There is always somebody who can help to complete their homework and answer questions.
Through these fun and challenging times each one of us has built strong relationships. Whether it was with friends or a teacher, we have developed connections and memories that will be with us forever, even if we lose contact with those individuals. Some students have discovered they have a passion for writing through a creative writing class or want to have a career in business from taking Mr. Ide’s inspirational marketing classes. Others have participated in CLIP or summer school to catch up and make it possible for them to be here today. Attending school with the people I’ve known since elementary and middle school, and making homecoming posters with them for four years in a row, has given me a chance to get to know the people around me better than I ever thought I would.
