Imagine you are in Ancient Rome and you get to see how many differences and similarities Rome and the U.S. have as you collect information you need to remember, the lessons from Ancient Rome could help the U.S. to avoid the fall and collapse that Rome experienced. The first similarity between Ancient Rome and the U.S.is with the military. The U.S. education system is very simple, you go to school and learn many different subjects that will help us later on in life with certain jobs like a scientist or a doctor. On the other hand the Ancient Romans education was very rare to get, not everyone knew how to read or write. Only the higher class people had access to education. Also, education was not provided at a school, you had a parent or slave as your teacher. The second difference between the U.S. and Ancient Rome is their leadership, the U.S. lets the people have a say in who will be the president and help make this country better. On the other hand, in Ancient Rome the people did not get to say who is the leader nor help make the rules. The final difference between the U.S. and Ancient Rome is their mythology and how the stories go, for example in Ancient Rome the mythology is very fairytale like having many themes including monsters,evil people and animals.
