How would you feel if you were in Maycomb being treated with so much disrespect? Racism, class, and gender are some of the forms that will be talked about, and these are the different forms of discrimination used in “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Atticus, Tom Robinson, Boo Radley, Scout, Jem, the Ewells, Mr. Dolphus Raymond, and the Black Community are all being discriminated in “To Kill a Mockingbird.” These people will be talked about in this essay. Also think about how you would feel if you were judged even if you are a kid.
Atticus, Scout, and Jem are discriminated because Atticus is defending a black man, Tom Robinson. Atticus is fighting for what he thinks is best. When Atticus takes the case his children are direct targets by the people. Like Atticus says in the book, “As you grow older, you’ll see white men cheat black men every day of your life, but let me tell you something and don’t you forget it-whenever a white man does that to a black man, no matter who he is, how rich he his, or how fine a family he …show more content…

The Ewells are very poor. So they don’t have money for clothes, food, and a nice warm house and much more. The Ewell family is part of an exclusive society. This society helps in certain circumstances that the common folk judiciously allow certain privileges for the Ewell family. The kids didn’t have to go to school for one thing. Burris’s father, Bob Ewell was permitted to hunt out of season. There are a lot of people in the world during the Great Depression who couldn’t provide for all of the family. Lots of people can especially not afford certain schools. Yes of course education is important but some parents get a very low raise or they don’t even have a job. Life moves on and you can never go back with something you have said before. If nobody can have what you have you leave them alone.
