“Well done is better than well said” is an aphorism by Benjamin Franklin. This means our demonstration of something is better than our explanation. I personally agree with this particular aphorism because I believe we should all live putting our words into action and never procrastinating any task at hand.
An excellent example of one person putting his words into action was Benjamin Franklin. In “from The Autobiography” by Benjamin Franklin, Franklin explains how he wishes to achieve moral perfection. However, instead of just saying what he wishes to achieve Franklin put his words into action by contriving an organized way to establish moral perfection. For example, politicians often say extravagant things about what they are going to do or change. Leading everyone into voting for them because of these great changes they said they are going to do if they were in that position or office. Once these politicians get selected though many end up never pursuing what they once said they were going to do, because of this people have began to show more care for the outcome of something than how well something is being presented or explained to us. Instead of striving for Benjamin Franklin’s famous aphorism “Well done is better than well said,” these politicians do the opposite and are later judged upon by the public that they thought believed in them. Therefore I strongly believe in Benjamin Franklin’s famous aphorism “ Well done is better than well said,” to maintain a respected reputation, because accomplishing a task at hand is more fulfilling than fabricating or procrastinating and never accomplishing anything that you once said you will
