Nurses that are bachelor’s level prepared, carry a high degree of responsibility in healthcare. A bachelor’s degree exhibits that a nurse has gone the extra mile in the nursing profession to better take care of patients. This also means that by being bachelor prepared, the nurse is able to better understand the medical dilemmas presented while being a nurse. The nurse that achieves a Bachelors of Science Degree is highly educated and carries a broad role in the lives of patients. A Bachelors Degree requires the Nurse to be of upmost professional quality because there is a lot of responsibility and commitment behind the BSN-RN title. According to the BSN curriculum, BSN level nurses are included in a broad spectrum of critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills that are not typical in a diploma or associate-degree track (American Association of Colleges of Nursing [AACN], 2017). These characteristics can help make the professional nurse: caring practices, teamwork, and being a good collaborator. Caring practices are associated with being there not only for oneself but also for others and accepting compassion from others. In the following study data were interpreted with Watson’s Theory of Human Caring in mind. The study revealed that compassion and a nonjudgmental respect towards ones own self contributes to others as well. The major goal of teamwork is to achieve maximum use with minimum redundancy. Teamwork leads to better coordination of care and services and increased communication among providers (Sayah et. Al 2014).
