Were the Effects of the Industrial Revolution more Positive or more Negative? The effects of the Industrial Revolution was more negative because even though this revolution created many positive effects, there were more negative outcomes. This revolution created many negative effects throughout France, effecting the people, effecting the world, and the Industrial Revolution was really dangerous to many. It would affect the environment, and also putting many people at risk and also, the possibility of having people lose their jobs. Even though the Industrial Revolution was to do well it actually did badly. First, throughout the Industrial Revolution many accidents would have occurred. Especially for children, the children would work in factories that would have poor conditions, and getting paid very little. Based on the type of work they did, children both boys and girls would have been injured from the machines. Most of the time children would come out injured, possibly losing fingers from dangerous machines, or even possibly an arm. There …show more content…

The people who worked at factories (men, women, and children) were paid differently. Men were paid more out of the other two (women and children) because of the fact that they are men, and they had more rights at the time. Women fell behind the men, getting paid a dollar less than the men. Children were paid very little and were very cheap to be hired, they would be paid a few cents to do the hardest work and labor there is. Next, the fact that many machines were being created at this time, such as the steam engine and the cotton gin, it caused many people to lose their jobs. The people were beginning to be replaced witch machines, and them losing jobs got them mad and upset which created an uproar between the people. The people began to live in the streets in poverty.
