I choose the song Wanderer's Lullaby by Adriana Fiqueroa. I choose this song because I can relate to it and I think almost everyone can. This message the song makes me feel like I have hope in the world. It has a way of making me cheerful even if I want to cry. The words stick with you and it is like they are a part of you. It has a sort of embellishment with how the words are said that makes you think about a deeper meaning of the song. I discovered this song on YouTube when I was feeling sad. I am always trying to find songs that hit home for me and my current situation. I was looking at songs about feeling lost in the world and the title caught my attention. "Every one of us is kind of a wanderer in our own way and this is a reminder that that is completely okay." This is what the author’s message about the song was. You'll end up where you need to be." This is what made me fall in love with this song. It is telling us we don't have to hide our true selves from the world. We are all the same and we are all wandering around looking for our purpose in life. It tells me that we are meant to do something in the world and we should not stop looking for it. …show more content…
There is a sense of foreshadowing in the song about what we can do with our “Wandering” lives. It tells us we do not have to be scrutinized for what we choose to do in life. It makes me feel like I can have hope for finding my purpose in the world and that I can try to show people my true self. I feel acknowledged by this song and it makes me feel better. It lets me know that most people are like me, wandering around trying to find a purpose in this world. It makes me think about how we should not let society tell us how to live our lives and also tell us who to be. We always have choices and decisions we have to make. If we let others tell us what to think and be then we will not be able to make the right choices or
I have chosen to do two songs waiting on a woman by Brad Presley witch the whole song makes a gender stereotype about woman always making a man wait. The second song I choose to do is George Straits A fathers Love which enforces it’s hard to be a father and what a good strong dad role model is. Both songs spoke to me in different ways.
For example, one line, “Soon our pilgrimage will cease; Soon our happy hearts will quiver, with the melody of peace,” which is saying that one day we will die, and you can’t stop that. “Lay we every burden down; Grace our spirits will deliver, and provide a robe and a crown,” also reveals that you should appreciate what we’ve had, and what was given to us. This song is telling you, in every line, that you can’t live forever, but appreciate what you have, while you
The name of this evening’s program, “Wanderlust,” refers directly to its definition: a strong desire for or impulse to travel and explore the world. The selected song cycles were written by composers of different backgrounds who were inspired by cultures outside of their own through travel or other means of exposure. In each piece, one can see these sources of inspiration manifest itself in various ways, whether it be through the composer’s choice of text, their style of composition, or other musical elements borrowed from other cultures.
This song talks a lot about the baggage of the past that people hold onto instead of letting it go. All that baggage is only going to end up hurting you more and more instead of helping you in any way possible. An example is the opening
Don’t pick a song just because you like it, it must have meaning. Your list must be typed and include the following information: Song title, artist, and a short three to five sentence explanation as to why the song represents you.
We have the chance to give the future generation a gift. We can give them the answers before they encounter the questions. We can give the help theyíll need before they need it. No oneís perfect when dealing with life. Weíre only here for a short time, why not make it the best time you can? Life throws things at people and one has to be able to cope and learn to solve them as best as they can. As Rolling Stone eloquently put it, ìthe lyrics address the need to cope (Wiederhorn).î In life, people are going to encounter problems no matter how hard they try to get around them. This song recognizes that fact and addresses it. The truth seems hard to come by these days. In my life, it is something I strive to give and receive. Thereís no telling how many times one person has been lied to. Letís just not mention that whole Lewinsky thing. ìBittersweet Symphonyî donates the truth to the future. No sugarcoating or hiding of facts takes place. The lyrics say, ìtry to make ends meet youíre a slave to money then you die . . .î As life is, the song is inclusive of the good and the bad. Without the bad, how would we know of the good and vice versa? This common thread of truth connects us and the future.
During the whole story the main Character Janie, has been Investigating love her whole life and she had dreams that she’s always wanted to chase but her grandmother’s teachings set her back. When she finally finds love with a man named tea-cake it changes her life and makes her see life in a new way. That’s why I chose these songs. Because They connect, to love and dream chasing. In my first song, “Dreams” by J.cole, we see the theme of love and finding that perfect girl in the lyrics of the song. In the song
In essence, this song carries various sociological concepts. It concentrates on the main idea about the social construction of reality and talking about how reality is changing. The song questions the actions and mentally of individuals violating the norms and values of society. The band takes into consideration various factors of why it is happening including the media and religion. As a result they talk about such influences taking control building and developing a sense of self. This is a great song about present day problems and how society changes with them.
The song is interesting because reading the lyrics, listening to the song, and watching the music video all give different meanings about the song. Reading the lyrics suggests that the song is a depressing story about the inner turmoil the writer is feeling and how he is not sure what to do with his life. But after listening to this upbeat and happy song, it seems like it may not be as dreary as it seemed at first. After watching the music video the message can be reinterpreted to be about the internal conflicts of a soldier fighting in a war and he does not know what he is fighting for. The fact that the music completely changes how the lyrics are interpreted is interesting. Nate uses many literary techniques to make this song mysterious and open to interpretation depending on how it is experienced.
This poem relates to me in many ways because in my life, I was offered many options to choose from and many roads to take. Since it’s my life and my decisions to make, I never regretted a decision I made, I just look at it as, that’s the way it was meant to be. Sure, the decisions weren’t always easy to make, but when you put your mind to it, think, brainstorm, and analyze a little the correct path or road usually will light up and give you guidance. I’m not saying that all my decisions were correct, they where not at all. I’m just saying that when you tried your best it never hurts.
This song literally is just a catchy tune about the best song ever. There is no purpose, meaning, or anything important in the lyrics that would make them even a little bit important. Somehow this meaningless song was number two on the Billboard Hot 100 as of July 31 2013. This means that “Best Song Ever”, a song with lyrics no more complex that its title, was the number two most popular so...
In conclusion, I found that both of these songs had a strong impact on my emotions. Not only did they impact me but they also told of story of hope, faith and belief
This song is an excellent example of the empowerment women and men may need occasionally. When someone is faced with a painful situation, people basically show two kinds of reaction: giving up or struggling. Those who decide to give up will usually keep complaining and blaming others for the situation they face. In contrast, those who decide to struggle, even though initially show almost the same reactions as the first group of people, they will finally choose to look at the good side of the situation they face. The process of being down, looking for the positives, and avoiding negative thoughts or feelings may be difficult but could ultimately result in the greatest gift of all, happiness.
He strives for this feeling of liberation while remaining self-aware that life is composed of both good and bad moments in which you must learn to embrace both. Through my own personal experiences, I’ve been able to recognize this as well. We cannot control what happens to us, but we can learn to pace ourselves and take life day by day. I’m constantly reminding myself to not worry about the future and what it beholds yet rather learn to enjoy myself and live in the moment. One of the main reasons I connect with this song is because the chorus reflects on taking your time on the ‘’ride’’ that is your own life. I believe it’s important to not worry over something that hasn’t happened yet or may never happen. There’s no reason to rush our lives nor compare ourselves to others and how well they’re doing. I’ve learned it’s harmful to dwell on the future and forget to enjoy the moment. We should focus on ourselves and how you can achieve all you desire on your own
“Lonely” is one of those songs you need when you just went though a break up. It 's the sad or negative part of love. He has so many emotions in this song like, regret, sadness, and compassion. I picked this song because I think it shows a great part of love, the part when you realize what you had but not that thing is gone. A lot of people take love for granted and don 't realize what other do for them until those people leave. It shows how selfish love can be at time’s. This is one of the worst things about love is having your heart broken into a million pieces. One of the most painful things I have ever experienced. The song is very popular though because
