WRT 105 Reflection

The second unit for WRT 105 was Rhetorical Analysis. We spent a lot of time on this unit, not only because it was challenging, but also because it is very hard to analyze and write good rhetoric. We spent the first few classes understanding what exactly it is, how it works and a few tools that are necessary to understand. We did a lot of practice essays and most of our blog posts for those two weeks consisted of rhetorical analyses.

This assignment was very interesting, since we were looking at a department at SU. To be honest, I don't think I managed my time well for this assignment. Because of midterms, I ended up missing two classes in which I also missed some crucial information regarding this assignment. When it actually came down to

writing this essay, I selected the easier option, textual analysis. I met my professor during office hours to gain a better understanding of the assignment and I did, but when it actually came down to writing it, I was still confused about certain concepts.
I texted two of my class mates, who really helped me understand the purpose and flow of the paper. I was able to write more easily then, but of course I still got stuck sometimes. I took the extension and wrote about half my paper on Sunday afternoon, but made edits and revisions to it on Monday. I feel like I could have definitely planned and managed my time better, because I did work under a lot of pressure.
