The United States of America, one of the most well developed countries in the world, has a huge problem on its hands; we need more voters! Every for to eight years we see a new head of state, but what percentage of people in the country actually appoint them? In 2012 that was only 62% of people who could actually vote. (Keep the voting age at 18) How do we increase the numbers you ask? It’s simple, get more voters, and the only way to do that is to lower the voting age.
Lowering the voting age down two years world would increase voter turnout extremely. The number of eligible voters would increase along with a spike in our percentages. Several other countries that are also developed, have way high voting percentages than ours. Take Austria
