Edgar Allan Poe wrote short stories and poems that all shared similar themes and dark tones. His poem, “Annabel Lee”, was about a man and woman who were so deeply in love that not even her death could tear them apart. “The Raven” was about a man trying to get over his love for his dead lover, Lenore. Both of these stories had very creepy moods and involved dead loved ones.
