Persuasive essay : Violence in the media is the main cause of violence in society today

Have you ever asked yourself why there is so many violence these days? Why does it seem that the hippy days when your parents were young seemed so peaceful? Its 2014, the world is full of video games concentrated on killing and robbing others. Everyday in the news we hear that another one of our soldiers was brutally killed by a flying Taliban RPG. I believe that the media has a big effect on society today. Nowadays, there is so many different things that influence us, for example, television. Scientists have done different tests to study the effect of television on young children's and have found that violent scenes increases violent behaviour.
How does televised violence result in aggressive behaviour? I believe that young children are influenced by what they see and what they hear. Research has been done to prove that young children will imitate violent actions seen on TV. It has been proven that children's that are 4 and younger are not able to difference between what is good and what is bad. Usually when children's see violence in media they think it is the right thing to do to solve their problem. Children always have their favourite heroes and I believe that children will try to imitate what they do. Most of the children's these days have there favourite super heroes and if they do bad things the child will do the same. For example, as we read in the play the boy took his knife and stabbed his dad so maybe he thought he was being cool by doing so and did it because of what he saw in the media. ...are one of the biggest cause of failure of society because they influence so much in what they say and what they do. If the superstars would step up and try to be more respectful to themselves and show a good example on screen and on radio I strongly believe that we would have a more peaceful society. Our television screens are filled with machine-guns shooting 1000 round a minute and bombs exploding, it is not what you are supposed to see. If the government would censor more of what is broadcasted on television I am pretty sure this planet would be a safer place to live. In conclusion, as ordinary citizen we cant do much to help save society, therefore, it is up to the rich and famous and the powerful to step it up and watch what is done on television. I am sure that if all media communications are closely watched we would have a brighter future for our society.

Even though other forces may be stronger, media violence does have some adverse effects on the members of society. If senseless violence on television and in movies had no effect, it would not be such a hotly debated topic. What type of effects and whom they affect are the most argued aspects of the discussion.
