The Video Game Crash of 1983 was a time when no new consoles or games were released for over 2 years, and could of possibly been the end of video games.The Video Game crash had been more of an incident that was effecting the creators but many of the gamers had just thought it was weird that there was not many new games.The video game crash was the result of too many bad games, Atari's bankruptcy, and too many consoles for consumers to handle. Though Atari has made endless classics, the fact that it was legal for anyone to make and sell Atari games resulted in many companies making bad games. Atari had made a lot of great games, but had 2 major failures like Pac-Man, which was debatably the best arcade game ,had given Atari the rights to make a home console version. The biggest problem with all these consoles is you never knew how good or bad they were because the internet was young and if you had no friends with n Atari, Magnavox, etc. you couldn’t get a first hand look. Though having a large selection of consoles could be a great thing but was a really big problem in the video game crash.
