Arriving in California was a beautiful breath of fresh air. Unlike the uptight and negative energy of Vegas- LA (our first destination in the great sunshine state) was so much more laid back. And not to mention the drive from Vegas to LA was such a heavenly sight. The winding hills, endless abundance of yellow and purple wild flowers that lined the highway, and low clouds among a lingering sunset was to die for. We jammed to John Mayer as the sun set just before arriving at our stay just a few blocks from the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. We only had one night and one day to spend in LA before we were bound to head to Disney and then down to San Diego. So Kal and I tried to fit in as much as we could with the time we had.     We started our travels down in Columbus Ohio. The week leading up to the big move we spent at Deer Creek State park, for a family reunion, where my dad and step mom, had the chance to see everyone again, before the journey began. Over all we had taken nine days to get to our destination. First stop, Saint Louis, Missouri, we stopped to see the Gateway Arch. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be, so of course I was pretty amazed. The first few days were our longest driving days, but sense we broke up the days, our longest day was eight hours. The second day was the worst, Oklahoma is so boring to drive through, and nothing but flat crop farms, and wind turbines everywhere you look. We drove till we got about seventy five miles from the boarder of New Mexico, And Oklahoma. We got up early and began a shorter dive to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we went to Petroglyph National Monument, yeah it was interesting, but after you see a few hundred, they all start to look the same. The next morning we took a beautiful hike and took many pictures to capture the moment. Other than getting there, my favorite part of the trip, was Arizona, where we stayed four days in Flagstaff, one day in Holbrook, and one day in Phoenix. We stayed on the 35th floor; our suit had an awe-inspiring view of the entire strip. We had food service ordered to our room. I had this wonderful lobster tail dinner with sautéed asparagus and crisp cut fries. It was amazing and sent me right to sleep. On Saturday morning, we woke up to a lovely brunch and set out to explore the Strip, taking in the sun and the overall atmosphere of Las Vegas. We popped in and out of the hotels along the strip. One store was the Eminem factory. Walls were lined with Eminem dispensers and classic merchandise to attract the eye of the customers. Massive Eminem plastic figures greet you when you walk through the door. After enjoying the fun and creativity of the Eminem store, we went out on the streets, visiting street vendors and watching street performers dance around us. I was really enjoying the overall experience of walking the strip. We ended our night by seeing the last showing of The Lion King.
