Urie Bonfenbrenner's Argument On The Development Of Human Development

The article by Urie Bronfenbrenner is about his argument on people needing to understand human development by considering the entire ecological system. He states the ecological system includes five socially organized subsystems that help guide and support human growth. The five socially organized subsystems are Microsystems, Mesosystems, Exosystems, Macrosystems and Chronosystems and according to Bronfenbreener these systems all play a part in effecting human growth. His theory took many years to be developed and was based off of a study completed in Berlin in 1870. The study of the effects of neighborhood on the development of children 's concepts. It helped Bronfenbrenner form the beginning of his theoretical system , which is also used as a framework for illustrating representative research findings(37). Bronfenbrenner 's ecological paradigm, was first introduced in the 1970 's his research represented the reaction to the restricted scope of most research being conducted by developmental psychologist. In 1977 Bronfenbrenner wrote an article that helps provide the needed information for moving the continued studies in the right direction. Children with less parent involvement usually did not do as well as students who active parent involvement. I believe because when a child is younger, if his or her parents shows no interest in their school work they won 't either because younger kids love to do things to please their parents and receive their parents attention. If they know getting good grade will gain them the attention they want they 'll try harder in school.
