Unwind is a futuristic book by Neal Shusterman. This book starts off with a teenage boy who finds out he is going to be Unwound. Being unwound means your body parts will be taken out, and given to someone else who needs it. Now you may wonder why would anyone choose to be unwound? The thing is, you don't choose to be unwound, your parents do. So if you weren't doing any good to society, then the letter for your unwinding would be signed. The main character, Connor, had found out he was going to be unwound. The thought of being unwound obviously scared him, so he decided to go AWOL. A tithe is a person who is created or born to be unwound, this is for religious purposes. Lev backstabbed Connor and Risa by snitching them out, but later on he realized he didn't want to be unwound, so he decided to save them. Lev had to separate from Connor and Risa, on his escape from the cops he met a kid named CiFy who had been donated the brain of an unwound. City had impulsive thoughts and realized the unwind was controlling him. Lev helped him with his mission, and went on a separate mission. From there, Risa and Connor were crated to a graveyard. Now it's not your typical graveyard, it's a place with a bunch of unwounds who were staying there until they were 18. Why a. 18? You might wonder, well the rules of the unwinding were that once you turned 18 you legally could not be unwound. Connor and Risa receive jobs, and later meet up with Lev. They didn't really talk as much, but they knew they had each other. At the graveyard, they met a kid named Roland, who was not the nicest to them. But it came to a situation where the leader of the graveyard was very sick, and the only transportation was a plane, but the pilot died. The only person who knew
