Why do parents even bother sending their kids to buy lunch at school, when it is more unhealthy than the chocolate and junk food the kids would pack themselves? One month of eating school lunches left student AJ Almquist with non stop vomiting and bloody diarrhea. AJ also stated that he was in the worst pain of his life. Do you want your kid in the worst pain of their life too? Instead of doing what they are supposed to do, including help kids to eat healthier, school lunches are making kids even more obese. They are making kids get sick and putting them in pain. School lunches are making kids sick and even unhealthier than kids would be without them. This can lead to making unhealthy choices in their future with regard to snacks and meals.” This is very important, because when kids have the opportunity to eat these unhealthy things, it makes them want them more often. For example, when a kid has pizza for lunch at school and it’s really good, they want pizza again and again. They become almost addicted to pizza. Next, when a student has a burger at school, they think that it is perfectly fine to have a burger a lot because it is what the so called “healthy” lunch program is serving. They then make unhealthy decisions when they get into college because this is what they were taught to eat. Not only are we serving these meals to high schoolers and older kids, but we are serving it to kids, including kindergarteners that cannot make their own decisions. They are just taught their whole k-3 years that hamburgers, soda, ice cream everyday, and pizza is normal and not unhealthy at all. They grow up that way and there is no one to teach them otherwise. Then, the whole generation grows up eating unhealthy junk and ends up looking like the fat people from the disney movie “Wall.E” by Andrew Stanton, and Jim Reardon.
