Recommended: Essay nature of communication theories

The PLO #1 is Understanding Communication Theories. It requires the student to demonstrate an understanding of at least one of the many theories in the communication field. For this PLO, I chose COMM 144F, Organizational Communication. I chose this course because this course deals with communication in organizations. Within the course, students are taught organizational communication theories that help the student interact within an organization. This course also enables students to learn about how an organization works and what problems it might face. It is a great way for students to learn about what goes on in an organization. The objective is to help students learn about researching and analysing communication. I chose COMM 119I, Researching Games because the course seems interesting and unique. I think this class fits well with PLO #2 since students will learn different methods of research that pertains to games. Each game is different and require multiple strategies to win. Students will learn how people interact among the gaming world such as how they communicate. There are studies for basically anything but learning to research communication methods on games is completely different. There are millions of gamers around the world with different perspectives and opinions. There are also millions of games that range from horror to action. Each genre of games will provide valuable information about research communication since each will be different. There is an immense amount of information that is available. The large variety of games allow students to learn about how normal research methods will not work on every game.
