A society is defined as a group of people living together in an ordered community and/or a particular organization formed for a purpose. A sociologist has classified different types of societies in six categories: hunting-gathering, pastoral, horticultural, agricultural, industrial, and postindustrial. Today, USA is more of a capitalist/post-industrial society because there has been an increase in the transition from factory to office jobs, information and technology have a greater importance than manufacturing goods, and the need for scientific disciplines show an increase (Samuelson, 2013). Just because a person watches the media and sees a few black women with dreadlocks and afros sternly speaking their mind or even being destructive, an individual should not assume all black women with an afro or dreadlocks behave the same way. Honestly, it is sad that any person with a unique hair texture has to conform to a European hair style (straight) to look professional. In conclusion, the ultimate attribution error has caused a lot of misconceptions in society. This error can, and has, controlled the way people interact with other races, nationalities, religions, and the opposite sex. A solution to the problem is “don't judge a book by its cover”, but that is pretty difficult not to do, so I will suggest retaining the stereotypes that you come across. When you are in a position to prove the stereotype wrong try and do so. If your stereotype is proved correct then try again to prove it
