The college I did research on was the University of Southern California (USC). The city where USC is located in is los Angeles. The weather is usually very sunny. Its population is 3.884 million people. Some of its attractions are Universal Studios, Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Sign and the Hollywood Walk of Fame but there is much more. They are allowed to have a car but are not allowed to have pets. They have coed housing, fraternity/sorority housing, and many more. At USC they have many facilities. Their library shown is filled with books. It was created as a memorial . The computer lab is in the library. There tutoring center is known as the Ronald Tutor Campus Center. Their gym is called the Lyon Center and it is 21,800 square feet. Sports that USC has that interest me are basketball, cheerleading and soccer. I enjoy those sports. They always get me pumped up. I like the feel of adrenaline it gives you. The extracurricular activities i am interested are music and sports because they are fun to do. In conclusion, after doing all this research, I did not realize there was much more to this college than I thought. I just thought it would be all work, but there's also lots of fun things to do at USC. I learned many new things like what other majors they have like dance and dental. I really think this is a fantastic college and I plan on applying to the University of Southern
The main component I look for in college is their commitment to further my studies. I feel this college will provide an ingenious culture within the science field, therefore rendering myself with the building blocks necessary to later pursue the medical field. Not only does UNCW devote itself towards their student’s undergraduate years, but also by providing Professional pathways such as Pre-Medicine, students such as myself can go into Professional schools better prepared. In addition to my interest in the academics the school has to offer, I also marvel at the amount of extracurricular activities available to the student body. One student organization in particular is the Greek Life. When my mother attended this school, she was an avid member
An HBCU is a college/university that embeds the nature of power and black excellence; a place with surroundings that doesn’t force you, but makes you want to push yourself to become a better person inside and out, and throughout the community. Transferring would allow myself to be put in an atmosphere of continuous motivation and growth that I would feed off of my superiors and the people around me.
Also, I would participate in loads of extra-curricular activities, especially athletics. Playing on the basketball team for Baylor University would be a dream come true. Most of the extra-curricular activities will help me develop adequate social skills, which would help me in achieving my overall
I am writing in reference to Suny Lizeth Chirinos and her job application as a substitute teacher. I have known Suny Lizeth Chirinos for ten years as her friend. Since the time I met Suny she demonstrated to be a tough and responsible human being. At the time she was working for a dentistry office where she demonstrated her passion of working with kids, adolescents, and adults. It takes a special kind of person to endure the daily taskers of dealing with patients throughout the years.
Going to college is a big step in a young person’s life. That is why when going to college; one should know which college they would like to go to. For me personally, the college of my dreams is Louisiana State University. The top three majors at Louisiana State University are Biology, Biomedical engineering, and Business. The main reason I want to go to Louisiana State University is because of their amazing biology department .The main things that caught my attention about Louisiana State University, was how flexible I could be with my money, it isn’t that hard to apply and the admission process is pretty doable, and the campus life is interesting with many clubs and organizations that I could join.
Not only am I confident that Rutgers University will fully assist me in reaching my personal enrichment, but I have faith that it will help me to achieve my career goals as well. Throughout the years, the Scarlet Knights have surely made a name for themselves in New Jersey. I have yet to decide on a specific major, but attending Rutgers will allow me to get a taste of the many majors the University has to offer. Benefiting from Rutgers is not the question. The real question is how would one not? A degree from Rutgers has a such a strong value. Not just that, but there is a lot of involved with the school and students.
I am enrolled at UC Blue Ash and my experiences and relationships to the courses that I will be writing about will reflect the Blue Ash campus. I like the UC Clermont College and am fortunate to take the summer courses here but since I live in Indiana it is just too far to drive here. I was very fortunate to be able to take most of the courses at the Blue Ash campus.

Los Angeles is my goal place to be when I graduate from high school. The weather, the amount of people in the city, the diversity of culture and types of people, the numerous amount of different opportunities, the famous landmarks, beaches, and so much more intrigue me. I chose the University of Southern California for my college research project. USC is located in Los Angeles and their campus looks really lovely which is a reason as to why I would like to possibly go to that university. Many people shoot for UCLA, it is one my list of colleges to go to, but not my first because many people strive to go there and I don’t usually like going somewhere where many people usually choose to go. There are many different programs, activities, and clubs you can join and participate in and I absolutely love communicating with new people and try new activities.
The focus of this paper is to dispel a common view that community colleges do not provide on-campus housing and to provide greater insights into the types of community colleges that provide on-campus housing, the typical student who resides in on-campus housing, a guide to various California community colleges that provide on-campus housing, and the impact that on-campus housing has on student learning outcomes, financial gains for community colleges that provide on-campus housing, and an overview of the lack of data in the area of not only on-campus housing in community colleges, but community colleges at large. According to Cohen and Brawer (2008) access to student housing is one of the fundamental dissimilarities between public community colleges and four-year institutions of higher learning (p. 220). Cohen and Brawer (2008) take the position that community colleges lack the all-encompassing ability to appreciate the connectedness of community in the same fashion as that of four-year colleges or universities. Broader analysis of current data relating to on-campus housing in rural community colleges is three-fold. First, it exposes the lack of concrete observation or empirical data on the issues that surround community colleges with respect to on-campus housing. A wealth of data supports the learning outcomes, financial impact, gains, and drawbacks of on-campus housing, but from the vantage point of on-campus housing at the four year college or university level. Data shared were from several sources, one which dates back to 1998 and the other two from 2005 and 2006. With little research expected from community college faculty and administrators, the community college as a whole suffers from the lack of empirical studies wit...
I’ve always been the type of person that truly enjoys athletics and have participated in nearly all sports offered to me. I started playing sports in elementary with club softball and basketball. As I entered my middle and high school years I was able to add the school sanctioned sports to my list of activities. This afforded me the opportunity of competing in volleyball, basketball, golf, track and softball. The camaraderie and life lessons of sports seemed invaluable to me.
My GPA is low; about a 2.7. I have been to many different high schools. I have not been academically successful. However, I do fairly well on standardized tests ACT 30 and SAT M660 V640.
The most fulfilling or rewarding experience I have had as a college student here at USC has simply been having the opportunity to be surrounded by motivated students, professors, and advisors that have encouraged me to expand my horizons and better myself. Without the Honors College, I would have never met and bonded with my current roommates or any of my other college friends, who push me to try new things and work harder every day. The Honors classes I have been enrolled in have provided me with the opportunity to interact with students who are passionate about what they are studying. The professors I have taken are experts in their fields and have interesting stories and histories, such as one

For example, I am the current treasurer of (FBLA) The Future Business Leaders of America, Member of (DECA) it 's an international association for marketing that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in finance, hospitality and management. Additionally, I am an active member with Upstanders, a club that stands up against bullying and hate; (ASA) The African Student Association and the National Art Honor Society. I am also on the football and track teams. Track is a very competitive sport; it teaches me to endure and prepare me for the competitive real world. All of these extra-curricular activities are preparing me for future obstacles on my collegiate
Personal Statement My current enrollment to Florida International University’s (FIU) MS in Environmental Studies program proves my interest in the field of “Natural Resource Science and Management”. Coming from Bangladesh, a country that is highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, I observed the importance of holistic natural resources management and its complex social dimension. My involvement with different development organizations including United Nations provided hands-on experiences in this field, particularly at the interface of nature, technology and human. During my work I became interested about this multifaceted sector and its intricate but intriguing relationships between society and environment.
