The colonists were not as represented because King George III’s tyranny overtook all decisions. Tyranny was another big decision colonists had to revolutionize. The colonists decided that state sovereignty is better than a strong central government. Through state sovereignty, states had power to tax and control interstate trade. As stated in the Articles of Confederation, each state has a legislature comprised of elected individuals. The national government is weak through the articles because of the powerful state governments. The federal government could not levy taxes or control interstate trade, unlike the British government.
