In today’s world, the common threat of violence in the workplace has made workplace security a part of everyday survival. Employees and their employers, are falling prey, either physically or emotionally, to these violent attacks which have only increased over the last decade. This workplace violence can be divided into three categories or types, Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3. However, let us not exclude the ever present attacks of cybersecurity in the workplace, as it too has become an ever consuming global issue, in every workplace. And finally, let us see what measures should to be taken to make the workplace and its data safer for all. These assaults are usually more personal for the offender and in the past, occur less often than Type 1 assaults. These types of assaults usually transpire in businesses that provide a private or public service, like schools and colleges, trains, buses, health care, police, prisons, and the list goes on and on. However, even though they occur less often, instances of Type 2 assaults are growing more and more prevalent than ever before, globally. One way to do this is by installing cameras to capture overviews of workplace activity. Another way, is to have law enforcements on the workplace premises, to monitor, cameras, buildings, and people. Both of the above is vital to taking security measures, but ultimately, the workplace employer needs to have knowledge of what to do and should take measures in training the employees themselves. Without proper training, an employee would not have the knowledge to know what they should or should not do if workplace does occur. Therefore, workplace security training is vital for survival for employees and employers in the workplace. Cybersecurity is a must have for all workplace data. However, it is a never ending issue to tackle, but companies are now even hiring cybercriminals to keep their data secure and to help them give their company a competitive advantage in data
