1.) The three main national TV networks in Canada are CTV, CBS and Global. CTV leads as the top private private broadcaster company in Canada. CTV features programming with local quality news updates, sports news, entertainment news and news from all around the world. According to CTV, they have been Canada’s most watched network for the last twelve years. CTV is owned by Bell Media which is very well known in the world of TV, radio, digital and also out of home media.

CBS is an national television and radio broadcaster. CBS features two television networks - one in French and one in English. They are all advertising upcoming seasons or episodes with trailers and with the air dating. CTV.ca is promoting companies on the side of the website along with the header and footer of it. Its promoting Petro Canada’s “Fuel your chance to win” in partnership with The Amazing Race Canada and Air Canada’s “Win the world’s contest” ad. It also has teasers of upcoming episodes that CTV airs on the homepage.

GlobalTV.ca has a headline of all upcoming TV episodes premiering that week with a link to show’s website, to view upcoming trailer of episode along with episode summary. The main ad I noticed was a Big Brother advertisement located on the footer of page with sneak peeks of the episode coming up. The footer of the website also has social media extensions showing feed of Twitter/ Facebook.

3.) All three companies (CTV, CBS, Global TV) all promotes Canadian TV shows online. CBS was featuring, Canadian Country Music Awards and 22 Minutes. CTV was featuring The Amazing Race Canada and their entertainment segment “Etalk”. Global was mainly highlighting the new season of Big Brother
