I believe that the movie is faithful to the book to a certain extent, in a sense that it shows the physical progression of ALS on Morrie. However, it does leave out some of the important flashbacks mentioned in the book and doesn’t capture some of the moments like caught in the book, of Morrie losing things that could affect him mentally. The movie does accurately capture Mories physical illness by showing his slow reliance on Mitch’s help and dependency on things like medicine and liquid, soft foods. The vast progression was both indirectly and directly shown throughout the book and movie. There are many similarities from the book, Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, that were also captured in the movie directed by Mick Jackson, 1999. In
The story of Rikki-tikki by Rudyard Kipling is a great one, so great that there is a movie made after the book. The Movie follows the story of the book, but there are differences. The differences are very small, and don’t change the story’s theme. There are more similarities between the story and the movie them there are differences, however.

In the movie, “Tuesdays With Morrie”, Mitch’s old professor, Morrie, is diagnosed with ALS. Mitch finds out that he is dying, and wants to fulfill the promise to visit him after graduation. Mitch starts visiting him. He talks to him and goes places with him, but when his condition worsens it is hard to go anywhere.

Whedon's production of Much Ado About Nothing is a modern, black and white retelling of the famous Shakespeare play of the same name which tells the story of love and deceit between two couples: Hero and Claudio, and Beatrice and Benedick. While Hero and Claudio court and prepare to marry each other, Beatrice and Benedick steal the show away with their wit, humor, and constant bickering. Though they both insist that they hate each other, the flashback presented at the start of the film suggests that there is far more to the story than meets the eye. While the style of the film certainly enhances the story being told, making it a timeless classic entangled with modern society, it is the ensemble cast that work both individually and as a unit which make the film a true masterpiece, as well as the genius idea of a change in scenery that propels a sense of realism not often found in your average Shakespeare adaptation.
A majority of people in the 21st century take somethings for granted. In the novel “Tuesdays with Morrie.” One of the main Characters Named Morrie Schwartz, is an extremely lovable college professor, who in his late sixties, finds out that he is diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. The story of his last few weeks on earth is told by Mitch Albom, one of Morrie’s former students, who happends to reunite with him during his final days.

Throughout the movie I noticed that Mitch and Morrie fell under many of the theories that we have discussed in class. In particular they covered Marcia’s role confusion theory, Kübler-Ross’s denial and acceptance theory, and lastly Erikson’s identity achievement theory. The characters Mitch and Morrie fall under these three theories which I will explain below.

How to give a summary of such a powerful book seems to me to be beyond comprehension. The book has left me so full of life, so committed to changing the way I behave, the way I think, the way I feel about life, death, how I treat others, and how I spend the hours of everyday. The book has left me with thousands of zooming thoughts in my head, like moths circling a light bulb, just trying to feel the soothing heat being radiated from it’s ember glow. The way I feel after reading this book, must be how an immigrant felt when taking those first steps onto American soil. Extremely overwhelmed yet so filled with anticipation for the new life they can lead, if only they make the right choices for themselves, and not fall into the pitfalls of society’s culture, but make a culture of their own. “ Invest in the human family. Invest in people. Build a community of those you love and who love you”
The Book Thief, now both a film and a book, is about a girl named Liesel and her struggle with the power of words. The film and book are very similar in content and were most likely made to be that way. It is evident that the producer tried their best to assure that the plot of the book is retained in the movie. The characters, Liesel, Hans , Rosa, Max and Rudy have their characteristics well reflected into the film. From Mama’s thunderous bellows to Rudy’s incessant pestering, the movie made that characters feel as if they had jumped out of the book and into the film.
According to the Internet Movie Database's exhaustive records, Louisa May Alcott's novel "Little Women" has seen itself recreated in four TV series, four made for TV movies and five feature length movies since 1918. The most recent version appeared in 1994 and features Winona Ryder, Claire Danes, Kirsten Dunst, Samantha Mathis, Eric Stoltz, Susan Sarandon, and Gabriel Byrne. As a long time fan of the novel, who has happily carted her large leather bound gold-gilded unabridged edition whenever she has moved, I find that I was disappointed in this newest movie version. As a movie lover, however, I found the movie to be an enjoyable experience.
