Trotula was an Italian female doctor who lived during the medieval time, and was one of the most famous physicians of her time. She lived in Salerno, Italy. Salerno was famous for having excellent hospitals, and being the home of the first medical school (Bellucci, 2015). Women were accepted and allowed to teach at the School of Salerno, although during this time in Europe women were denied getting an education. Trotula was an instructor at the School of Salerno, which helped the world of medicine because she was able to pass on her knowledge and techniques. Terry Blair was born on September 16, 1961, he is a known American serial killer in, Kansas City, Missouri, where he killed and raped more the seven women. He grew up in a family where he’s mother had a ninth grade education and suffered from a mental illness. Blair’s family had many encounters with the police, as he was growing up. While Blair was in prison his brother Walter Blair Jr. offered a man to kill Katherine Allen for $6,000 so she couldn’t appear at his rape trial. Terry admitted to abducting the girl and taking her to an empty lot and shooting her, Walter was imprisoned for the murder and executed in 1993. On March 27, 2008 a judge found Terry guilty for the murders of the six women, the women’s bodies were found in the Prospect Avenue corridor in 2003 and 2004.
Travertine TRAVERTINE is a form of massive calcium carbonate, CaCO3 resulting from deposition by springs or rivers. It is often beautifully colored and banded as a result of the presence of iron compounds or other (e.g., organic) impurities. This material is variously known as calc-sinter and calcareous tufa and (when used for decorative purposes) as onyx marble, Mexican onyx, and Egyptian or Oriental alabaster. The logic in this time is completely lost, they jews were treated no better than dirt under the guards shoes. On a list of the nine worst concentration camps Treblinka is the second. ( the first being the worst.) This camp in particular has gas chambers made to look like showers. even including shower faucets and tile.With pipes running across the ceiling which of course was designed to appear as pipes for the water when in reality the pipes were filled with carbon monoxide gas ( a deadly gas). When the prisoners piled in they were gassed to death.The guards often referred to the tunnels to the chambers as “ the road to heaven”.
