(1) Who chooses to be evil and not a human being? The society where you live can make you be evil because fundamentally not everywhere is Kabul. Trauma is the main theme focused in each character's life in both Swallows Of Kabul and The Kite Runner. A comparison of the characters of Atiq, Mohsen, and Zunaira and the symbols of the whip, kite, and Burqa.

(2) Atiq, Mohsen, and Zunaira are the characters in the novel that each experiences trauma in their life, and getting negatively affected. Mohsen had a very active and peaceful life as a kid. He became an educated man who wanted to fight against Taliban's violent rules, as a diplomat. Amir had a peaceful and joyful life, but he was traumatized after watching his friend; Hassan being sexually assaulted. According to the film, the scene when Hassan was being sexually assaulted, caused Amir to be traumatized. I can compare Mohsen to Amir, as they both 's childhood were so similar to each other. According to the novel and the film, Mohsen and Amir both were traumatized but just in different ages. Soraya was disowned by her father; General Taheri, because of running away with her boyfriend and caused her trauma. In the scene that Amir and Soraya are planning to get marry with each other, Soraya told him about her past relationship and asked him if he still wants to get marry with her. I can compare Zunaira to Soraya as they both were traumatized in their life in the same situation of either getting marry or being married. Hassan as a ''Hazara'' in the movie was traumatized by being sexual assaulted, only to save his friend's kite. According to the film when Hassan was sexually assaulted, caused him a massive trauma. I can compare Atiq to Hassan as they both had an unsafe childhood as well as adult life.
