The American Translators Association or ATA offers a vast amount of benefts to its members including the ATA online learning center that gives online access to help and tips. The ATA also offers new freelancers tips on how to start up a successful business. They offers webinars that help enhance ones skills and provides tips for career advances. The American Counseling Association is the largest professional counselor association in the world and serves over 56,000 helpers by providing resources and tools to utilize for best practices in the counseling field (ACA, n.d.). As an ACA member, professional counselors have access to professional journals, webinars, forums and other mediums that can strengthen and enhance helping skills and best practices. It would be of great advantage for both graduate students training in a counseling field, as well as professional counselors working in their field to take advantage of the being a member of the ACA.

Every experience he/she encounters could possibly stick in that baby’s mind. However, some of the things that a child hears or perceives can either benefit or corrupt their learning. Teaching a child a second language has the same concept as putting in new software in a computer. Many advantages come with a safe and powerful computer and the same would come with knowing a second language. If a child was not taught a second language in their early years, that child might be at a disadvantage in their future, and as that child grows up not knowing a second language could potentially hold him/her back with grades and obtaining a job. When I see interpreters, I try to learn more from them. An example is from this past summer when I went to the Tower of London in England. To conclude, I am devoted to my historical interpreting. The summer season is my sole and only opportunity to interpret. Soon, in the future, I believe that I will be interpreting more. The current process of obtaining a human interpreter that meets facility policy can be lengthy and sporadic. The interpreter may not be a family member or friend per facility policy, and the recommendations of the Joint Commission that started in January of 2011. The current procedure is slow (see Appendix II: Old workflow pattern for human interpreter services) and leaves room for errors. A human interpreter may not be contacted at all or there may be delayed contact. If the admitting nurse does not complete the task to initiate interpreter services, it may be missed for a significant length of time while everyone assumes the interpreter has been contacted. The goal is competent interpretation that follows the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) regulations, and is twenty-four hour a day and seven day a week service.
