The Trail of Tears was a devastating time. More than 3,000 Native Americans died walking on The Trail of Tears. The Native Americans were forced out by Andrew Jackson. This was caused by the Indian Removal Policy The Trail of Tears started in 1838 and ended in 1839. The Native Americans were forced out of their homes and weren’t allowed to get much of their belongings because of the Indian Removal Act. The Indian Removal Act was forced because of Andrew Jackson.
