Conforming to society can be one of the highly difficult and pointless challenges that almost every person will face. The majority of people are faced with a choice; fit in or be different. Tim Burton is one of those people who make their differences a quality that allows them to create works that can be creative and distinct. Burton often reflects his idea of uniqueness in his films by making his main character different from the rest of the characters. Burton’s creations show that when given a chance the outcast in society can be one of the highly talented individuals in society. Tim Burton creates a story of conformity versus uniqueness by making the main character seem awkward and strange in comparison to the rest of the movie’s characters.
