Revenge The purpose of revenge is to hurt someone because of how they hurt you or someone else. Someone will find the smallest things to get revenge on because of the hate in their heart, and always wants to hurt to someone. Revenge is played a major role in the play Much Ado About Nothing written by William Shakespeare. I never heard the urge to get revenge on someone, because karma will get him or her eventually. The first time I ever wanted to get revenge is when both my “friend” and “boyfriend” betrayed me. I think the best friend and boyfriend situation happens more than it should with teenagers. Carelessly the two of them did not think it would do any harm to me by messing with each other. The need for revenge came from both of them lying and disrespecting me. I felt as if they should be hurt just as much as I was. After the situation, I didn't know how to react. There was many ways I could have handled the situation, but anger took over.
