Four writers in this book, Ken Blanchard, Thad Lacinak, Chuck Tompkins, and Jim Ballard provide a new way of communication to help develop a more harmonious community in the work place and family life. The actor in the book used to involve in a vicious cycle of relationships, where he could hardly have a positive communication with his wife, children, and his coworkers. Life crises occur, however, he found a whale’s behaving manners that could also apply to human’s life. Good changes could happen in interaction with families and coworkers by emphasizing and changing direction to positive factors. I kind of like his idea, because I recognized that things go in that way. Virtuous cycle forms when people are phrased and encouraged, because they focus on their right behaviors and will do it again and again.
If we talk about positive things about other people sincerely, people will be more likely to accept our suggestions. I found it practical in life. Imagine a scene where someone ask others to do something, he would likely to say “I appreciate your hard work and good ideas, there is a little bit suggestion to perfect your work, though. Do you like to hear it?” Usually, when people hear such positive tone, they would be glad to accept suggestions. I …show more content…

For instance, the book’s title, Whale Done pronounce similar to “well done”. It illustrates the whales’ good job and implies a positive tone in writing. It is easy to remember the title and quickly attracts people’s interest. Further, the sentence “The more attention you pay to behavior, the more it will be repeated” is an example of repetition. The structure is repeated, and it is easy to read. Plain English is applied to describing in this book. There are many concise wordings instead of jargons between lines.
